Is it really free?

Yes. Every feature, every screen, no time limit. There is no account, no licence key and no card. A paid support tier is planned but does not exist yet.

What does it run on?

Any Android 9 or newer device: a tablet, a TV box, an HDMI stick. Google services are not required, so plain AOSP images work.

Do I need a server?

No. Each panel serves its own admin console on port 8080. That is the whole system.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Media is cached on the device and whole sites can be hosted on it. A panel with no uplink keeps playing what it was given. Widgets that fetch live data — weather, feeds, calendars — need a connection for that data.

How do I manage a lot of screens?

Today, one at a time, from each panel’s console or its REST API. There is no fleet console yet. If you run hundreds of screens across sites, a cloud vendor will suit you better for now.

How do I get into a locked panel?

Tap the bottom-left corner five times and enter the admin PIN. The board keeps playing behind the keypad. Wrong entries lock you out for a few minutes.

I forgot the PIN.

There is no recovery path, by design. Reinstall the app, which clears its configuration, and set it up again.

Can it show right-to-left languages?

Yes. Text direction, language and digit shape are per widget, and any typeface you upload can be used. There are ready-made Persian and Arabic boards in the gallery. The app’s own settings screens are still English only.

Can I use my own fonts?

Upload a TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 on the Media page. The family is named after the file, and every text widget can then use it.

What is a template, exactly?

A layout file. You download a .json, import it in the panel, then swap the words and pictures. It is not an image and not a theme.

Can I put it on the Play Store version of my device?

You sideload the APK. It is not distributed through the Play Store today.

Does it phone home?

No. There is no analytics, no crash reporting and no CDN. The console ships its own fonts and scripts.

Can it drive two screens?

Yes, an attached display can have its own layout or mirror the built-in one. Video on a second display does not autoplay yet.

What happens when the power goes out?

It launches on boot and, if you set a wake time, comes back to the schedule rather than lighting an empty room at three in the morning.
