Requirements
This build is unsigned, so it will not install as it stands. Android refuses any package without a certificate. Sign it with your own key first.
apksigner sign --ks your.keystore --out unikiosk-signed.apk unikiosk-unsigned-v0.0.1rc1.apk
Install
adb install -r unikiosk-signed.apk
adb shell am start -n io.unikiosk.kiosk/.MainActivity
The panel comes up on its own setup card, with its address printed on it.
Copy the file to the device and open it in a file manager. Android asks once for permission to install from unknown sources.
Then tap the bottom-left corner five times and enter the admin PIN to reach Settings.
First ten minutes
Settings, System, Access. The default is not yours.
The console password is generated per panel and shown there.
So the panel returns to itself after any reboot.
Hide the bars, require the PIN, launch on boot.
Import a template instead of drawing a blank grid.
